Import Catalog From Photo

Traditionally, most restaurants print their catalog in form of photos for customers to view and request their preferred meals. GonnaOrder allows you to transform this static photo catalog into an interactive digital menu by simply importing it to your gonnaOrder store. You can use this process to upload a catalog to a new store or to update a catalog with new products.

Note

  • The photo of your menu must be of high quality and must clearly show distinct items for more accurate results.
  • GonnaOrder is constantly working on the image processing algorithm to improve accuracy and enhance its capabilities.

To import a catalog from a photo, go to your store dashboard and choose Catalog from the side menu. On the catalog tab, click the Import Catalog from Photo (beta) button to initiate the process. Have your menu photo ready on your tablet or computer for the next steps.

Once you have chosen the image, GonnaOrder will automatically read the items listed in it and present them to you for confirmation, including categories and items listed in them. In this step, you need to validate that all your products have been captured. It is also important that you note the details that GonnaOrder could not capture from the image so that you can update them later. Click Accept and Import Catalog to commit the changes to your store.

For this example case, we started with a newly registered store without categories. After importing the catalog from the photo, the store has one category and several products. For this image, notice that GonnaOrder captured all the items and their prices. However, it’s crucial to always cross-check the catalog and make any necessary changes that were not captured.

Here is how the store will look to the customer after accepting and importing the catalog.
